Easy Kitchen Cabinet Repair

This said there will be times over the course of your cabinets' lifespan that they may require some repairs that are pretty minor and are not necessarily a sign that you need a brand new kitchen. Two common problems are doors that won't stay closed and drawers that stick. Here are some tips to fix those problems.

What to do about kitchen cabinet doors that don't stay closed

After a few thousand times of being opened and closed, you may notice that a kitchen cabinet door is not staying closed or is sagging a bit. Though this is irritating and not very attractive, this is an easy fix. All you need to do is loosen the screws on the door hinges. Don't take the screws out all the way, but loosen them enough that you can move the door up and down. All you have to do now is adjust the door to where you want it and tighten the screws. It's okay if it's a little off, loosen the screws and try again. It may be a good idea to get a helper to hold the door while you tighten the screws.

How to fix a sticking kitchen cabinet drawer

A sticking kitchen cabinet drawer is a most frustrating thing, especially if it is one that you use frequently. Fortunately, there is a simple solution for this. Simply take the drawer out of the cabinet; pull it out, then lift it slightly to unhook the rollers from the track. Next, wipe the rollers with a damp paper towel to get all the dust and grime off. Then just spray some WD-40 or other spray lubricant on the rollers, wipe off any excess and put the drawer back in. That was easy, wasn't it?
